Gas up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

Fuel prices continue to rise with the Nova Scotia Energy Board’s regular Friday price adjustmeent.

It is the third increase in fuel in the province in three days, as the energy board used the interrupter clause to increase the price of diesel on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3.

The Sept. 4 price adjustment saw gas increase by around four cents per litre and the price of diesel stay the same.

In Cape Breton, the cost of regular unleaded gasoline now costs between 194.5-197.4 cents per litre and in the Halifax area it is 192.5-195.5 cents per litre.

For low-sulfur diesel remains at 258.2-261.1 cents per litre in Cape Breton and between 256.2-259.2 cents per litre.
