If spring training starts on time next year – an uncertainty due to baseball’s anticipated labor dispute this offseason – the Houston Astros will open Grapefruit League play Feb. 19 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Major League Baseball released a full schedule for 2027 spring training games Friday, with all teams scheduled to begin spring games Feb. 19. The Astros are slated to play their Grapefruit League opener against the Nationals at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches, the facility the teams share.

Houston has 15 spring games scheduled at home, including two split-squad dates on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27. Outside of teams in the Astros’ regular spring rotation – the Nationals, Cardinals, Marlins and Mets – the Tigers (March 2) and Yankees (March 6) are scheduled for games at CACTI Park.
The Astros are scheduled to play two exhibition games March 22 and 23 against Triple-A Sugar Land at Daikin Park, prior to their scheduled March 25 regular-season opener against the Rangers at home.
All of this could be upended if labor strife delays or cancels parts of spring training or the regular season. The current collective bargaining agreement between MLB and the MLB Players Association expires Dec. 1, and an ensuing lockout is widely expected.
In 2022, a lockout that was resolved in early March resulted in MLB postponing opening day from March 31 to April 7. Spring training games began March 17 that year.
